Ronan is primarily a melee combatant that also has a few ranged options. His offensive options include removing enemy buffs and later into the game stealing them as well as bleeding and thorns.
Thorns in particular makes him strong against other melee heroes.
He also has great defensive options and a shortcut to scalemail, which make him withstand as much damage as he can dish out.
His uniques are primarily defensive but some also double dip into offense and those are often his most powerful options.

Play Ronan if you want to be a tough and punishing knight/warrior archetype combatant. His builds are straightforward with fewer stars and synergies, making him ideal as a starter hero.
